This is a five-month, 20-week gig, during our June-October season, and pays $25/hour. Time allocation breaks down as follows:
8 weeks at 35 hours / week (for 2 theater productions in rehearsal/tech) = 280 hours
12 weeks at approximately 10 hours / week (for one-day events, showings, 2nd weekend of theater productions runs) = 120 hours
Total hours = 400 hours
Total compensation: $10,000
The $10,000 fee is prorated over the course of the five month period to $2,000 per month to ensure the employee has a steady and consistent form of income rather than one that varies considerably from month to month, but we are open to an hourly arrangement if that is preferable.
During our 20-week season, Ancram Center expects to produce two mainstage productions, each with 3 weeks rehearsal/2 weeks performances (Thu-Sun schedule), 2-3 new play development workshops, each lasting one week, and approximately 6 one-day special events, including readings, music concerts, community storytelling performances, etc. Administrative responsibilities can be executed remotely.
Please send cover letter and resume to Ruth Moe, Head of Production, at ruth@ancramcenter.org.
