TACONIC HILLS EDITION
Saturday, November 9th at 2pm
LIVE at Ancram Center for the Arts
1330 County Route 7, Ancram, 12502
A FREE community event!
You won’t want to miss 4th, 5th and 6th graders from Taconic Hills Elementary share their often hilarious, frequently touching, and always authentic tales from the Ancram Center stage!
This fall, Ancram Center is once again leading storytelling workshops, modeled after our RPRS approach, with all 4th, 5th and 6th graders at Taconic Hills Central School.
The project supports the school's literacy and writing pedagogies by utilizing live storytelling as a step towards composing personal narratives. Through the workshop, Ancram Center is instructing over 350 students, helping each to develop and tell a story about a memorable event in their life.
As a culminating event, students sign up to share their tale from the Ancram Center stage, with the presentation being recorded and uploaded to YouTube.
This program has been made possible through the generosity of community members, The Ackerman Foundation and The Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
