In case you missed it, REAL PEOPLE REAL STORIES: TACONIC HILLS is available for viewing here until the end of December!

This fall, AOH is leading storytelling workshops, modeled after our RPRS approach, with all 5th and 6th graders at Taconic Hills Central School.

The project supports the school's literacy and writing pedagogies by utilizing live storytelling as a step towards composing personal narratives.  Through the workshop, AOH Co-Director Paul Ricciardi has been instructing 145 students, helping each to develop and tell a story about a memorable event in their life.

Thirteen students have signed up to share their tale with REAL PEOPLE REAL STORIES; the stories range from discovering how guinea pigs swim, enduring (several) broken arms, getting lost in the Bahamas, and more!

AOH's storytelling initiative at Taconic Hills CSD has been made possible through a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
